“Conflagration” – As the morning drew near at the Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge near Jefferson, NH, a thick fog rose off of Cherry Pond, threatening to block out any views of a sunrise that day. My patience paid off, as the fog broke long enough for the sun to set these clouds ablaze.

“Whaleback Sunrise” – The low wall of clouds provided a nicely contrasting backdrop for the silhouette of Whaleback Light while still allowing the sun to color the rest of the sky. A perfectly placed opening split the clouds as the sun broke the horizon.

“North Church Sunrise” – The steeple of North Church in Portsmouth NH, set here against the rising sun, stands tall above the town.
